National Board of upper Mathematics undertakes entrance test for candidates so as to admit them in Research Scholarship Programmes. The maximum marks for the question paper are 40 and therefore the duration of the paper is 150 minutes. The Question paper is split into five sections namely Section I or Algebra, Section II or Analysis, Section III or Topology, Section IV or applied math and Section V or Miscellaneous. As far as the names of every section go, they contain questions associated with them, as an example Section I contains questions only from Algebra, Section II contains questions from Analysis, and so forth on.
Each of the sections has ten questions and every section carries a maximum of eight marks. There are both Multiple Type Questions also as Short and Long answer based questions within the paper. Section I, II and III are the one which contains Multiple Type Questions, which are nine out of ten in total number each. Candidates are advised to thoroughly undergo the paper then answer. They are also advised to travel through different Mock Questions before the doorway test to create up an entire set of confidence and practice.
